About Tazmin

Tazmin Lewis is a Registered Dietitian based in London, with over ten years of experience. She is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) as well as being on the committee of the BDA Maternal and Fertility Group.

Tazmin balances her time with private clients, whilst working for the NHS in London as a specialist in diabetes with experience in both Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes. She has been a specialist diabetes dietitian since 2016 and is the diabetes lead in her current hospital role. Her freelance work is predominantly in maternal health. She had worked in maternal health for several years however, when pregnant in 2019, she started to realise how much nutrition misinformation was out there and that mums and mums-to-be deserved better! A passion was born and Tazmin now dedicates a lot of her time supporting mothers-to-be with pregnancy nutrition.

During her last “maternity leave” in 2022, Tazmin became a breastfeeding peer volunteer for her local infant feeding clinic. She understands how difficult it can be to access support for breastfeeding after struggles with tongue tie, cracked nipples, and pain with both her breastfeeding journeys. She also worked facilitating weekly mummy mornings for an antenatal company designed to help build community and support mums through the post-natal period.

Quite typically as a dietitian, Tazmin loves food and when the opportunity arises to have a night out, you’ll often find her out fine dining! Being half Indonesian, Tazmin was lucky to have travelled quite extensively growing up and it sparked a love for good food all over the world. She enjoys baking and cooking for her family.
